An impressive, interictally carved piece made from rosewood and showing scenes of birds, branches and leaves. The table is multifunctional as it can be used as both a sewing table as well as a writing desk. The top drawer has a leather writing slope with the monogram of an “A”. The sliding drawer to the underside is still fitted with its original fabric.
The table does have some defects in the form of some splits up its sides as well as a slight wobble from side to side. The top drawer does have a split to the underside but still functions as expected. The drawer to the underside on the other hand does have some slight tears to the original fabric. The most obvious damage is the mark to the top of the piece which has been photographed along with the other areas of damage.
The piece measures 76.5cm W x 44.5cm D x 73.5cm H.
