A 19th Century, Wrought Iron, Gothic Revival Paschal / Candle Stand


An impressive Paschal stand, in the gothic revival manner and standing nearly 2.3m tall. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a paschal stand that is very rarely on the market.


The item is in very good condition with no fractures or breaks to the decoration, but does show evidence of previous gilding. The gilding is evident on the base as well as on certain aspects of the mid section/ top section. Additionally, it should be noted that there may be a slight lean to one side, however, it may just be that the weight of the piece is actually crushing the floor. Either way, it is still very impressive in its current form.


It is also worth noting that there is some inscription on the central column reading something like “…RSA”. Likely the maker of the material which went into the stand rather than the stand maker, but definitely worth noting.


The piece has a base width of 79cm x 79cm. Overall, it is just under 2.3m tall and weighs approximately 150kg.
