In the style of Jean Pascaud and likely designed by him, this sideboard has a black lacquer structure with a pair of tambour doors. The sideboard is unique in the way that it also has a flip-up top which reveals a pair of glass tops above each cupboard as well as a rather cavernous section in-between the 2 cupboards. Whether or not this is a secret drinks cabinet, hidden storage or something else, is your decision. This piece exhibits a lot of design features of Jean Pascaud to include the substructure to the sideboard, the bronze caps on the feet, the moulding around the doors, the lacquer, etc. so is extremely likely that it is one of his pieces. Sadly there is no makers marks to the piece, however, there is definitely age to the sideboard.
There is a few blemishes to the sideboard in the manner of a chip to the lacquer at the rear of the top surface as well as some small ones on the corners of each side panel. There is a couple of marks and ripples to the veneer across the piece but nothing that is obvious or stands out.
The sideboard measures 136cm Lx 45cm D x 90cm H.
