Early 20th Century, Painted Wooden Wine Merchants Shop Sign
A substantial Tyler’s Wine Merchants shop sign with red flaking paint and gilt lettering. Tyler’s Wine Merchants were based in Woking but had branches nationwide. George Peter’s & Co were brewers that were based in Portsmouth and had pubs across Hampshire.
As seen in the photos, the sign is worn and does have flaking red paint and rubbed edges, however, this all adds to its aesthetic.
