A fantastic mid-century piece by the Swedish designer Egon Ostergaard. The bureau is fitted with a roll top and a pull out shelf to act as a table top. The roll top is inlaid with a fabulous parquetry pattern to set it aside from other bureaus of the era.
The bureau is in relatively good condition, however, it does have some pen marks to the slide out drawer and to the drawer fronts. Finally, there is a large discoloured patch to the slide out top. One thing to note is that even though this bureau is supplied with 2 keys, the locks on the roll tops of these bureaus are notoriously terrible and don’t really tend to work.
The bureau measures 90cm W x 47cm D x 97cm H. It also measure 70cm H to the underside of the slide out table top and 69.5cm D when slid out.
