A beautifully handcrafted aluminium scale model of the iconic Supermarine Spitfire, mounted on a cast aluminium display stand. Believed to date from the 21st century, this highly detailed piece features individually formed aluminium panels with etched rivet and panel line detailing, capturing the character of the legendary fighter aircraft.
The model includes an impressive number of working features, including operable rudder, ailerons, flaps, cockpit canopy, propeller and fully retractable landing gear. The distinctive Merlin engine exhausts are also faithfully reproduced, adding to the realism. The cast aluminium stand is marked with a mermaid logo, AM-2014, and the number 3818.
The model is in very good condition and displays exceptionally well. A striking decorative piece for aviation enthusiasts, collectors, offices or display spaces, with an impressive level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
